If you have a book to publish which has lasting literary value (we specialize in fine short verse but are open to other literary
genres), consider publishing it with Modern English Tanka Press (MET Press)
under our equity publishing arrangements. Since we become partners in publication, Modern English Tanka Press exercises
editorial discretion in the acceptance of manuscripts. If you are interested, contact us by email at

Before making a query or proposal, you should read the following guidelines carefully and you should have a complete, or nearly complete, manuscript ready for email transmission for consideration. “Equity Publishing Services, Pass-Through Costs, Perquisites, Profit-Sharing.” For more details, read the PDF document “METP Guidelines for Equity Publishing Book Projects with Partners.” Short verse books, chapbooks, etc. are usually published under our imprint, "Modern English Tanka Press." Most other projects would be published under our imprint, "MET Press." The METP guidelines apply equally to projects under either imprint. We look forward to hearing from you.
